SAS JMP Statistical Software

SAS JMP statistical software now available for all University students, faculty, and staff

As a result of a STEP grant initiated by Dr. Robert McFatter (Psychology) and funded by the STEP Coucil, the University has entered into a three year site license agreement with SAS for the SAS JMP Statistical Visualization Software from SAS Institute for use by students, faculty and staff at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  JMP is a full featured statistical package offering a wide array of data analysis tools and techniques that can meet the statistical software needs of graduate and undergraduate students in many disciplines including but not limited to biological sciences, engineering, social sciences, and business.

Key features include easy integration with Microsoft Excel and R, interactive graph builder, 3D charts, overlay plots, scatterplot, contour plots, bubble plots, parallel plots, tree maps, and 3D surface plots.  Statistical functions include ANOVA, MANOVA, regression, ARIMA, hierarchical cluster analysis, principal components, discriminant analysis, item analysis, reliabilty analysis, survival analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, control charts for process monitoring, and a full featured table summary presentation tool.

The software is available for both PC and Mac platforms and can be downloaded using your UL CLID and password at the following address:
