For the Spring 2011 cycle, twenty-one (21) awards totaling $352,201.61 were funded by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Technology Enhancement Program (STEP).  Of the those proposals funded, six (6) will have an annual sustainability fund impact of $36,609.00 (average $6,101.50/project).

For the Fall 2010 cycle, twenty-two (22) awards totaling $360,940.68 were funded by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Technology Enhancement Program (STEP).  Of the those proposals funded, four (4) will have an annual sustainability fund impact of $38,628.71.

The University is currently expanding the wireless network to enhance the student technology experience on campus

During the summer of 2010, a team of students, faculty and staff were assembled to review and recommend a new wireless plan for the University.  The team conducted a student survey and leveraged classroom utilization data to set deployment priorities and define campus requirements, use cases, and priorities for expanding and enhancing the University's aging wireless network and wireless management infrastructure.
